Ava James ~ Romance To Last A Lifetime

I am a historical junkie at heart but if you hadn't noticed Han Solo is a man that I adore. Recently I began to read some sci-fi romances and I am having trouble finding some that I can really get into. Some bogg the story down with too much detail while others just don't sound plausable. I know it is science fiction/ futuristic/ and fantasy but I have to be able to believe in the characters and the plot. Any suggestions?
